POLICIES & FORMS

statement of commitment to child safety

Our school is a safe and protective place, where children are nurtured, respected, and supported to flourish spiritually, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
We value each child’s voice and participation, respect their perspectives, and empower them to thrive within our community. We have zero tolerance for any form of child abuse and have clear strategies and systems in place to protect children from harm. All allegations and concerns are taken seriously and responded to consistently, in accordance with our policies, procedures, and the highest standards of Islamic ethics.
In keeping with our holistic and inclusive philosophy, Sidrah Gardens School is committed to:
  • Promoting cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and respect for their heritage.
  • Honouring and supporting children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Providing a safe and inclusive environment for children with disability, ensuring their full participation and dignity.
  • Embedding the values of care, justice, and compassion in all interactions with children.
At SGS, child safety is everyone’s responsibility ; staff, families, and students work together to create a protective, caring, and empowering environment where every child can flourish.
